I treat

The aim of physiotherapy is to optimise someone's range of movement and function whilst at the same time reducing pain and preventing recurrence.

I treat a wide and varied range of conditions including the following:

  • Sports and soft tissue injuries

Strains, sprains and bruising to the soft tissue e.g. muscles, ligaments, cartilage, nerve and tendon problems.

  • Neck and back disorders

Problems including prolapsed discs, joint degeneration, sciatica, lumbago, stiff/painful neck and referred leg and arm pains.

  • Headaches and migraines

I can help determine the cause or contributing factors of your headache and treat the problems accordingly.

  • Joint problems

Including arthritis, rheumatic disorders, injuries, pain swelling and stiffness in joints such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles can be alleviated with physiotherapy treatment.

  • Repetitive strain and overuse injuries plus other work related conditions

I can provide treatment of the problems using traditional treatment methods, ergonomic and preventative advice.

  • Postural dysfunction

I can advise on correcting postural problems and muscle imbalances.

  • Fractures

Treatment of fractures can increase the healing rate and return to full function.

  • Orthopaedic conditions

Such as rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery, e.g. knee cartilage operations or ligament repair, shoulder or back surgery.

  • Hypermobility

This is of particular interest to Carole and a cause of many joint problems and often under diagnosed.
